Our main aim within KS3 is for students to be equipped socially, emotionally and academically through a curriculum that supports a return to mainstream or a transition to a specialist provider once an Educational Health Care Plan is secured. Key Stage 4
Archway offers a broad and balanced Curriculum for students in Key Stage 4. The offer aims to facilitate effective transition from mainstream so students, where possible, can continue to study the GCSEs subjects that they started in mainstream. Additionally, our offer gives students who are already at Archway the opportunity to leave with up to 8 accredited qualifications that will allow them to progress to further education, training or employment.
Our core curriculum comprises English, Mathematics, Art, Science, Food Technology and PSHE with additional time provided for PE and Careers Guidance. Students choose from a range of accredited courses to complete their individualised timetable. The full list of courses offered to students is as follows:
